Vandita Mishra launched her new book 'Myriad of Personas' which talks about women’s narratives and many lessons. The book focuses on womanhood and its challenges. The book narrates a series of stories that are inspired with the real lives of multiple women. Unhappy by her own life after her wedding, the narrator Tanya embarks upon this journey to meet many other women in order to learn more about womanhood. This myriad of stories includes some which are heart wrenching and shocking and others which are more relatable by most women.
Upon asking, the author talked about her choice of writing on womanhood “Till a certain point in time, I never took the discussions which revolved around womanhood seriously. It was only after having faced my own set of problems and struggles, that I realised the myriad complexities that can be associated with this one human gender. It was only then that I decided to explore womanhood and thus chose to write about it.”
The author goes on and shares how women in general face various challenges in their lives which are personal restrictions and social challenges. The author also discussed about her journey of writing the book
“Though it was my set of challenges which pushed me to write the book, I am happy and proud to say that it was a man who actually made me write it. I am thankful to my husband, who not only kept me motivated to write, but also, introduced me to some inspiring women whom I could write about," she added.
