Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi, who also holds the additional portfolios of Mines and Coal, arrived here on Thursday evening on a two-day visit to Raipur.
On July 31, he will meet Railway officers and then the Chief Managing Director and directors of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL). He will review the production, productivity and future coal production targets and other aspects of coal mining operation in Chhattisgarh.
Joshi is then expected to meet Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He will interact with the media at 2.15 pm, an official statement said.
Joshi will hold interactive sessions with Sponge Iron and Steel Industry representatives before returning to New Delhi at 4.00 pm.
