Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to resume OPD services today

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital will resume OPD (outpatient department) services in a graded manner from Monday. The hospital administration has created a proper infra- structure facilities to minimize the spread of COVID- 19 especially keeping in mind that nearly 70 per cent Coronavirus positive persons are asymptomatic.

“The hospital said it will resume OPD services in a graded manner from Monday from 10 am to 4pm. "Each doctor will see maximum four patients in one hour,” the hospital said in a statement.

The hospital administration said that patients are advised to show their risk status on Aarogya Setu app and appointment details on their mobiles on demand.

The Delhi government had declared Sir Ganga Ram City Hospital, Pusa Road (affiliated to Main Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Rajinder Nagar) in Delhi as a Covid-19 hospital for admitting confirmed and suspected cases of Covid-19 on payment basis.

In an order issued on April 30, Delhi Health Secretary Padmini Singla declared two private hospitals -- Maha Durga Charitable Trust Hospital and Sir Gangaram City Hospital -- as Covid-19 hospitals for admitting confirmed or suspected cases.

With the addition of fresh 224 Covid-19 cases on Saturday, the total number of corona positive stood at 6,542.
