Gautam Nagar police have nabbed a drug peddler near Gautam Nagar culvert from Runaha trisection and recovered drugs worth Rs 40,000 from their possession on Thursday.
Police said that acting on a tip-off regarding a youth carrying drugs was nabbed near Gautam Nagar culvert and when he was searched over 3 kg of Cannabis was recovered from his possession.
The accused was identified as Manish Kuchbandia. The accused is a resident of Kalyan Nagar and details of procurement and delivery of the drugs would be searched in the further investigation.
The details of the accused would be searched by the police. After the initial investigation police have registered a case under relevant sections.
The source of the drugs and their scheduled delivery to the customer in the city and nearby areas would be probed.
Meanwhile, Awadhpuri police has nabbed a minor vehicle-lifter and recovered a stolen motorbike stolen from Regal Paradise society on Thursday; minor accused was earlier nabbed for stealing scooter.
According to the police, acting on a tip-off, a youth was detained and when he was asked about the details regarding the vehicle, he failed and confessed that the two-wheeler was a stolen one.
Police narrowed down on the accused after CCTV footages revealed that the description of accused matches one who stole a scooter earlier and when he was tracked he was found with the bike. Victim had gone to Guna and when he returned his bike from the parking was found stolen.
