MP Culture dept to hold online event on Int’l Museum Day

To observe the International Museum Day, an online programme will be organised by Madhya Pradesh Department of Culture. The presentations of artist Pema Fatya's creations will be held as Chitra Srijan Yatra on Monday.

 Pema Fatya, a senior painter of Bhil Janata Pithora painting, aged about 85 years, was born in Bhabhara in Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh by the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum on March 31, 2020 in his hometown.  Fatya K. Pithora 'paintings are displayed in Madhya Pradesh Tribal Folk Art Academy, Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum, Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal Indira Gandhi National Human Museum, Bhopal, and Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, Delhi and Cultural Regional Centers of Government of India.

 In the contribution-oriented activity of Shri Fatya's picture creation journey, his pictures and the work done by him in the past will be observed. This activity dedicated to Shri Fathya is 'Pranam' International Museum Day on May 18, 2020 from 8 pm YouTube link. It is to be noted that International Museum Day is an international day held annually on or around May 18, coordinated by the International Council of Museums.
