Weather conditions have settled a little in the past 24 hours as spell of heavy rainfall witnessed at several places in the state has faded away and day temperatures have soared high on Monday.
Day temperatures have soared high across the state and recorded over 34 degree Celsius at most of the places.
Bhopal recorded day temperature at 36.4 degree Celsius while night temperature was recorded at 17.4 degree Celsius.
Among the nearby areas Hoshangabad recorded day temperature at 38.7 degree Celsius on Monday. The highest day temperature was recorded at 40.5 degree Celsius on Monday.
Warning of thundery activities and speedy winds of the range 30- 40 km/hr has been issued for Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Annupur, Sidhi, Singrauli, Sehore, Rajgarh, Betul, Burhanpur and Khandwa districts.
In the past 24 hours few areas of Jabalpur and Hoshangabad divisions recorded rainfall. The regions which recorded rainfall were Multai and Amarwada where 1 cm of rainfall each was recorded.
Night temperature was recorded at 15 degree Celsius which was the lowest night temperature and was recorded at Dhar, Gwalior and Datia.
According to the forecast state capital would witness day temperature at 34 degree Celsius and night temperature at 18 degree Celsius.
The weather conditions would remain partial cloudy in the state capital in the evening.
Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Annupur, Sidhi, Singrauli, Sehore, Rajgarh, Betul, Burhanpur and Khandwa districts are likely to witness light rainfall and thundery activities according to the forecast issued by Met department on Monday.
