Gautam Nagar police have booked a man for molesting a 23-year-old girl at JP Nagar on Thursday; victim was molested when she was alone at her house.

Police said that the accused identified as Vijay Ahirwar alias Tillu molested the victim at her house. 

The victim approached police and lodged complaint regarding the molestation by the accused. In her complaint, the victim stated that she was at her house when the accused came and asked her to come out and when she came accused asked her to accompany her but she refused and later escaped threatening her of life. The accused used to molest her for the past several months.

Based on the complaint, the police registered a case under sections 506 and 354 of the IPC and started search for the accused who went absconding after the complaint was lodged.

Meanwhile, Habibganj police have booked miscreant for molesting a 37-year-old woman ; the miscreant molested victim while she was on her way to Gauravi center to lodge complaint against the accused.

According to police, the accused Sachin Singh molested the victim near Gauravi center when victim raised alert he escaped the spot.

The accused used to harass and molest her frequently said the victim. The victim lodged complaint with Mahila thana last month and was on her way to Gauravi center when accused obstructed her way and forced her to withdraw complaint and later threatened her of life.

Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 354 of the IPC and have started search for the accused who went absconding after the complaint was lodged.
