‘Meri Saheli’ to protect women travellers
Now if a woman is traveling alone in the train, then she need not be afraid at all, because she will be protected by “Meri Saheli”. The “Meri Saheli” initiative has been initiated by the Indian Railways to provide security to women passengers traveling by train from the embarkation station to the destination station. Taking steps in this direction by the East Central Railway, a women team of the Railway Protection Force has been formed at eight stations including Dhanbad, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Danapur, Patna, Rajendranagar Terminal, Samastipur, Barauni and Muzaffarpur stations. In this initiative of the RPF, the women security force will be in constant contact with the women passengers traveling, especially the lone women passengers, and will make them aware of all the precautions taken during the journey. It will also be told that if she has any problem in the coach, then she will immediately get helpline no. Dial 182 and explain their problems. As soon as information is received by the control room through 182, all the assistance will be provided to the lady supervised by senior officers at the next station.
Jaiswal does ‘chadarposhi’
On the birthday of the prophet Mohammad, on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, President of Jharkhand Pradesh Professional Congress Committee, Aditya Vikram Jaiswal, today reached the court of Risaldar Baba in Doranda. 2 Sr officers, 8 employees retire at RRD
Senior Divisional Safety Officer of Ranchi Railway Division Chaitanya Sing and Senior Public Relations Officer Suhas Lohkare retired on Friday. Divisional Railway Manager Neeraj Ambastha congratulated both the senior officers and all the retired employees on this occasion and wished them a bright future. Also, eight other employees of various departments working on the division retired on Friday. On this occasion, ADRM (Infra) Ajit Singh Yadav, ADRM (Operations) MM Pandit, Sr DE Amit Kanchan, Sr DOM cum CPRO Neeraj Kumar and other Divisional Officers was present.
Celebration of vigilance Awareness week by ECR
Like previous years, this year also East Central Railway is observing Vigilance Awareness Week with a noble aim to bring awareness among the public about the ill effects of corruption. Several activities for creation of awareness towards the policy of achieving transparency, account ability and corruption free governance are being organized. East Central Railway calls up the entire employee to actively participate in the movement against corruption to achieve the mandate of the commission in letter and spirit.
Painting competition in SAIL
Painting competition was organized on Friday for the families of SAIL Employees for dissemination of the vigilance virtues in SAIL families during Fourth day of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week -2020’ in the units located at SAIL, Ranchi. BJP yuva Morcha March
Hundreds of activists of the BJP yuva Morcha led by Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha and former mayor Chandrasekhar Agarwal marched through roads of Dhanbad on Friday demanding employment for the youth that the Hemant Government had promised. The BJP activities were shouting anti- Government slogans with holding placards and party flags in hands. The March after covering different roads reached Randhir Verma Square where the activists held demonstrations. Sinha said that the present government had promised jobs for the education youth and if not unemployed allowance to graduates and post graduates. It’s almost a year now when the government took over but till.date neither one got a job nor allowances, he added.
Youth held in Garhwa
Garhwa police have arrested one youth in connection with the Vijay Soni firing case on Friday that took place in the Garhwa town. The arrested individual is identified as Ravi Kumar Tiwari of Hasker village. He was arrested from his house on Thursday night. Garhwa SP Khotre Srikant Suresh Rao said that based on thorough investigation and CCTV footage, technical evidence and intelligence the accused, Ravi Kumar Tiwar was taken into custody. During interrogation Tiwari accepted his involvement in the case and confessed that Saurabh Kumar Singh was involved in the incident.
