RD Varsity final semester exam results out
Bhubaneswar: The results of the final semester examinations of Arts/ Science/ Commerce (UG and PG) streams conducted by the Rama Devi Women’s University were announced on Friday. In the PG examinations, the total pass percentage was registered at 89.46. In the UG exams, the pass percentage was 90.06 in Arts (Hons), 94.48 in Science (Hons), and 74.21 in Commerce (Hons). The pass percentage in BEd examinations was 100%.
11 gamblers held in Ganjam; Rs 1L seized
Brahmapur: Ahead of the Kumar Purnima celebration, police have intensified raids to curb gambling in Ganjam district. In one such instance on Thursday night, police raided a gambling den and arrested 11 persons at Lakhmipur village under the Hinjili police station. A team of Hinjili police led by IIC Abhimanyu Das conducted the raid and nabbed the gamblers and seized cash of Rs 1,13,430 from their possession. In view of Kumar Purnima, the raids would continue on gambling dens in the area, said the IIC.
‘Kumar Punei Jahna Lo’ postponed
Brahmapur: The proposed 11th ''Kumar Punei Janha Lo 2020" of the Madhumaya Panigrahi Foundation (MPF) has been postponed for an indefinite period in view of the prevalence of Covid-19 pandemic. A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting presided over by foundation chief coordinator Prafulla Jagannath Padhi here on Thursday. Kaniha holds vendors’ meet
Talcher: As part of the ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week, the NTPC Talcher Kaniha conducted a vendors’ meet on a virtual mode on Wednesday. It was convenient for many vendors to join the meeting digitally. Discussions were held regarding developments made in Government e-marketplace (GeM), systematic changes in business procedures and support to vendors during Covid-19 pandemic with processes such as paperless tendering etc. Unit CGM and SSC ER-II Sudip Nag addressed the vendors and encouraged them to share their feedback and concerns in the Open House Session.
