The State meteorological centre has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in three districts today.
It has also issued an alert about similar weather at isolated places in six other districts while light to moderate rain/thunderstorm is likely to occur at most places in all districts of Uttarakhand.
According to the forecast issued on Tuesday evening, heavy to very heavy rainfall with intense spells is likely to occur at a few places in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar and Chamoli districts.
Further, heavy to very heavy rainfall with intense spells is likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital, Champawat, Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag and Pauri districts. Lighting is also likely to occur at isolated places in the state.
In Dehradun, the sky is forecast to be partly to generally cloudy on Wednesday with likelihood of heavy to very heavy rain/thundershowers. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Dehradun are likely to be around 30 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded on Tuesday were 31.2 degree Celsius and 25.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.2 degrees Celsius and 26.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24 degrees Celsius and 16.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.6 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
