Haryana CM launches HUM portal for enterprises

Saturday, 06 June 2020 | PNS | Chandigarh

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday launched Haryana Udhyam Memorandum (HUM) portal to provide a unique identification to all enterprises whether shops, MSMEs, large and mega industries to enable permissions and services to be provided across all of Government in an integrated manner.

The HUM portal will also enable registration of labour engaged by the enterprises creating a database of all the employees engaged in industrial enterprises in Haryana.

The database will also obtain details of migrant workers given the experience of the recent pandemic. The HUM unique id would form the primary key for integrating services and data in respect of Haryana and enable better planning and support.

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala who also holds the portfolio of Industries and Commerce and Labour and Employment Departments was also present on this occasion. Haryana Udhyam Memorandum is a unique initiative of the State Government developed with the collaboration of Citizen Resource Information Department (CRID) and Departments of Industry and Commerce and Labour and Employment.

It was informed in the meeting that the H.U.M portal has been developed in line of vision of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal of bringing all types of industries – micro, small, medium and large enterprises registered in Haryana on a single platform. A unique H.U.M number would be issued to every industry registering on this portal. It is a user friendly portal and for registration, the industries are required to fill up basic details. The registered enterprises would also have to upload the basic details of their employees engaged in the enterprises.

While appreciating this unique initiative, the Chief Minister said that it would help creating a complete database of all types of industries registered in Haryana as well as employees  working in it. The database so generated would help the state government in formulating welfare policies in the times to come. He also directed that Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC) portal and portal of the Labour Department should also be integrated with H.U.M portal so that H.U.M ID is mandatory for all applications in respect of service provided on the HEPC portal or by Labour Department on their portal.

Khatta said that industry registering on the H.UM. Portal should also be provided access to the ‘Saksham Yuva Portal’ of the State Government so that they could hire candidates according to their industry requirement. This would also help in providing maximum employment opportunities to the youth of the State, he added.

The Chief Minister directed that SMS should be sent at the earliest to all about 50,000 employees of different industries in the State who have sought permission for movement to other States during Covid-19 so that they could register themselves on the portal. For any query or information, one could also contact the toll-free number 1800-200-0023.
