G’gram: 24 areas in containment, 16 in buffer zones

A total of 24 areas in the Gurugram district have been placed in the containment zone while 16 are designated as buffer zones after a fresh order was issued by the district Magistrate on Monday.

The administration official said on the recommendations of the Containment Review Committee and District Disaster Management Committee, the Gurugram block has 13 Containment Zones and similar buffer zones.

“A total of 9 Containment Zone fall under the Sohna block while 2 areas in Buffer Zone. The Pataudi Block has 2 Containment Zones and one Buffer Zone,” said Amit Khatri, the deputy commissioner of Gurugram.

“In this regard the guidelines were issued by the World Health Organization, In which the house where corona-infected positive cases are found, the entire area falling within the radius of 3 km is declared as a containment zone and the 5-km area adjacent to it as a buffer zone,” he added.

A total of 13 Containment Zones fall under Gurugram which includes, Fazilpur and Jharsa villages.

Meanwhile, Baharampur, Tekri, Ghasola, Badshahpur, Begampur Khatola have been made buffer zones.

Similarly, village Jharsa (Sector-39) has been kept in the Containment Zone and the adjoining village Silokhara, Kanhai, Naharpur Rupa, Islampur, Bindapur, Samaspur, Fatehpur, Adampur, Hayatpur village have been kept in the buffer zone.

Devi Lal Colony has been kept in the Containment Zone and adjoining areas like Sector-9, Ambedkar Nagar, Sector-7, Sector-7 Extension, Jyoti Park, Ferozgandhi Colony, Ravi Nagar and Housing Board have been kept in the buffer zone.

Likewise, Suncity Society in Sector-54 has been placed in the Containment Zone and Sector 55, Sector 53, Sector 56, Aravali Hill, Aravali Hill Ghata has been placed in buffer zone.

The orders said that lane number 6-B Yadav Medicos in Sarhaul village have been kept in the containment zone and adjoining area Kailash Market, Ravi Market, Sarhaul Vegetable market have been kept in the buffer zone.

Similarly, Tyagiwada has been placed in the Containment Zone and adjoining Sector 65, Sector 67, Sector 69, Sector 68, Sector 49, Sector 72, Sector 64 and Sector 50 has been declared as the buffer zone. Meghdoot Apartment of Sector 10A has been made a Containment Zone while Naharpur Rupa, Hans Enclave, Krishna Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Arjun Nagar and Anjana Colony has been placed in the buffer zone.

Om Nagar has been placed in the Containment Zone and the adjoining areas Shivaji Nagar, Hira Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Raj Nagar and Rajiv Nagar have been placed in the buffer zone.

In Sector 12, an area like Lotus Hospital, Prem Nagar, Acharya Puri and Rajiv Nagar (West) have been kept in Containment Zones and the adjoining areas are Rajiv Nagar (East), Gurgaon Village, Gopal Nagar, the area along with the bus stand and Shiv Vihar in the buffer zone.

Similarly, Police Station Road, Community Center, Agarwal Sweets Street and Vishal Mega Mart in Dundahera have been kept in the Containment Zone and adjoining areas Surya Vihar, Mulaheda village, Shankar Chowk and Udyog Vihar Phase-2 have been placed in the buffer zone.

R D City Society (Block A, B, C) have been fall under Containment Zone while Indira Colony 1 and 2, Housing Board have been kept in Buffer Zone. The orders include Chandan Vihar, Chauma Village, Shankar Vihar and Sahib Kunj in the Containment Zones and areas like Ganga Vihar, Chandan Nagar and Chauma Village in buffer zone. Palam Vihar Block C-2, Ekta Group, Gali No 4, J-Block, Gali No 5 and Choturam Chowk have been placed in the containment zone and along with it Ashok Vihar and Nandi Dham and Karterpuri village fall under buffer Zone.

 Sohna has 9 containment zones including Gehlot Vihar, Javed Colony, Pahar Colony, Nut Colony, ITI Colony Sohna while Udaka, Pipaka, Patuka Bogipuri, Berka, Dhunaila, Sohna Dhani and Nawabgarh are placed in the buffer zone.

Similarly, Raipur Village, Sivakund, Bhagatwada and Thakur Wada have been made Containment Zones and Buffer Zone of adjoining villages Lakhuwas, Baluda, Saap ki Nagli, Mohammadpur Gujjar and Hill Area.

In Pataudi block, ward number 11 and ward number 14 have been placed in the containment zone and the adjoining areas including Rampura, Zonia, Birkhurd, Mubarikpur, Jatauli, Mumtazpur, Baspadmaka, Chavan, Khanpur and Ransika have been placed in the buffer zone.

“Each containment zones have been sealed, entry and exit routes would be determined from where supplies of essential goods would be made. Also, Door to door screening will be done under the supervision of the civil surgeon. The status of the containment zones will be reviewed after five days by the Containment Review Committee,” Khatri said.

Apart from this Gurugram has so far reported 84 positive cases including eleven fresh cases on Monday in which 7 cases are linked from Azadpur sabzi mandi, New Delhi. Meanwhile, 49 have been cured and discharged. While 35 are undergoing treatment.
