Haryana Cooperation Minister, Banwari Lal on Monday said steps are being taken by cooperative banks so that they can operate their banking procedures at par with nationalized banks. In keeping with the technological advances, he said that ATM facility to customers on behalf of the Co-operative Bank has been started in the main branch of ‘The Karnal Central Cooperative Bank Limited’.
After inaugurating the newly constructed ATM centre in Karnal, the Minister said that RuPay Kisan Card and ATM Cards have been distributed to 19,252 farmers of 'The Karnal Central Co-operative Bank', so that they can use these Kisan Card at ATMs.
General Manager of ‘The Karnal Central Co-operative Bank’, Sheetal said that in the present situation, a micro ATM facility is also being provided through 44 branches and two extension counters in Karnal district. She said that for its consumers, the bank has also issued a RuPay debit card so that they can avail e-commerce facilities like paying their bills through this card while sitting at home. On this occasion, Managing Director, Mr. Manoj Bansal on behalf of the bank also honoured the Cooperation Minister by giving a memento.
