Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the rate of infection has come down due to continuous efforts being made to prevent Corona. Similar efforts should continue. There is need to be more alert and cautious in Indore and Bhopal.
Chouhan was taking the review meeting being held regularly for prevention of Corona infection. He said that where earlier 1800 Corona positive cases were being reported daily, now this number has come down to 1500 daily.
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang, Director General of Police Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Mohammad Suleman, Principal Secretary Manish Rastogi, Commissioner Public Relations Sudam Khade were present in the meeting.
Chouhan issued instructions to take more precautions and make more efforts to effectively prevent Corona infection in Indore and Bhopal. He said that containment zones have been created only in these two districts. These infected areas should be opened to the public only after completion of the 14-day period while following the prescribed guide lines. Citizens of these areas should strictly follow measures to prevent infection.
Chouhan instructed that Corona Command Control Centres should be made more efficient. Collectors should review the centres regularly. In view of the present circumstances, officers and employees working in these centres should be trained.
Chouhan said that information must be sought regularly regarding the health of the Corona-positive patients kept in home isolation through video call. Video call can be made at any time of the day. It must be ensured that patients kept in home isolation do not go out of the house. If necessary, the patient under home isolation should be rushed to the hospital immediately and given treatment. Nearly 62 percent of the total Corona patients in the state are in home isolation.
Chouhan directed that the officers-in-charge of the districts should ensure that if a doctor in a district is infected with Corona, all arrangements for his treatment should be ensured. They are the Corona warrior of our society. The state government will take full care of them.
Chouhan said that people should be made constantly aware of safety measures like using masks, following social distancing and washing hands frequently. Essays related to Corona should be written regarding how to protect people who do not follow the rules from Corona, what precautions must be taken etc under the Roko-Toko campaign,. Awareness should be increased by adopting such innovations.
A team of specialist doctors was sent to Sagar district headquarters on the instructions of Chief Minister Chouhan. This team investigated the cause for high mortality rate in Sagar and said that there is less usage of ventilators along with oxygen there.
Therefore, it is recommended to use a ventilator if necessary. Facility of fever clinics must be increased. Specialist doctors of Bhopal were told to talk to the doctors in the core group of Sagar regarding the use of the ventilator. Chouhan said that the Corona death rate in Sagar should be brought down to the average death rate of the state.
Chouhan said that vigilance should be continued in Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ratlam, Vidisha and Dhar districts like before.
