Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Chief and Finance Minister, Rameshwar Oraon on Wednesday welcomed Rafale's arrival in India and said it will strengthen the strategic and defense power of the Country. He also asked many questions to the Central Government regarding purchase of the fighter plane.
Oraon said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government should explain why a Rafale fighter plane worth Rs 526 crore would cost Rs 1679 crore. Whereas 126 Rafale has been replaced by 36 Rafale and why has it been brought from abroad instead it could have been manufactured in India, he added.
The state Congress president said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is repeatedly asking the Prime Minister this question that China has entered Galvan, Pangag inside the Country's border and Gandhi is saying on the basis of the pictures of the satellite and after talking with former military personnel. The universalism of Maa Bharati has been at stake in the pursuit of the personal image of the Prime Minister, he added.
Reacting to the growing Corona infection in the country, Oraon said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was busy in ‘Namaste Trump’, would have spoken to the Chief Ministers of all the states before the nationwide lockdown, and had he implemented their suggestions, today the situation would not have deteriorated so much, he added.
"Had been given time to the migrant laborers to reach home, then the situation of the states like Jharkhand-Bihar with the migrant labor returning would not have been so terrible and the workers would not have lost their lives. The Prime Minister is now talking to the Chief Minister, when the case of COVID 19 has reached around 15 lakhs across the Country, the economy has completely collapsed, crores of people have been unemployed, industries have collapsed," said Oraon.
Regarding the new education policy, Oraon said that the foundation of social harmony and secularism should be maintained in the Country, they are not fully aware of the draft of the new education policy, reacting on the issue would be inappropriate without studying it.
