Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country where electricity consumers are being provided home based services by the Power Distribution Co with the launch of a new App by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday.

The consumers will get 90 percent of services of the power company, Baghel said.

He launched the new version of ‘Mor Bijli App’ with added features developed by the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Co Ltd (CSPDCL) at his official residence-cum-office, states an official communication.

Appreciating the efforts of CSPDCL, Baghel said it would directly benefit the consumers as by sitting at home they can avail the 90 percent of the services extended by the company. It would save effort and money as the services are free of cost.

He asked the consumers to download the App on their mobile.

Power Companies Chairman Subrat Sahoo said several schemes and facilities are being extended to the consumers.

Sahoo added that the company is working on the principle of ‘Sabko Bijli, Sasta daam-Sabko Rahat, Sabko Kaam’ (Electricity to all, Cheap Prices-Relief to all, and Work to all).

He said the App can be downloaded free of cost from Google Play Store. It has a new feature related to ‘Emergency Complaint’.

The other services include name change, shifting, new connection, hiking load, change in tariff, bill payment, calculation of electricity bill and more.
