Celebration of Vigilance Awareness week begins at CCL

Observation of vigilance awareness week (27th October to 2 November) commenced at headquarters of Central Coalfields Ltd and its areas and other establishments from today onwards. A plethora of activities are being undertaken by CCL at its HQ Ranchi and across its operational areas to observe this occasion.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL PM Prasad administered oath to its employees including stakeholders. Speaking on the occasion, Prasad said that it is imperative for everybody to be self-conscious and adopt a path of honesty and probity in their lives. He stated that the company is committed towards ensuring transparency in its operations. He reiterated that corruption is a menace to the society which could be eliminated solely with the collective efforts of everybody.  He lauded the vigilance department for their efforts and hoped that like previous years the vigilance awareness week celebration this year will also be successful.

Chief Vigilance Officer S K Sinha said that the theme of this year's celebration is “Vigilant India, Prosperous India.”   He said that he is sure that the employees of CCL will observe the vigilance awareness week with full zeal and vigor. He told about the various activities which are being undertaken by the company to celebrate the occasion. He motivated the employees to take vigilance pledge and adhere to it in its essence.

Vigilance awareness chariot was flagged off on the occasion by the CMD in presence of CVO S K Sinha, Director Technical (Operations) V K Srivastava, Director (Finance) N. K Agarwal, Director Tech (P&P) Bhola Singh, General Managers, HoDs and employees of the company. The chariot will visit different places and spread the message of vigilance awareness. They also inaugurated an E Pledge booth at the CCL HQ.  The employees will take an online integrity pledge on the booth.

All the safety protocols related to Covid pandemic were adhered to. Everybody present wore masks and followed social distancing. GM Vigilance AK Singh along with his team of vigilance department played an important role in the event's success.

GM (Vigilance) is constantly visiting areas and spreading the message of Vigilance India, Prosperous India to the stakeholders and seeking their help to eradicate corruption in the country. Many activities are lined up for its employees at CCL headquarters as well areas during the Vigilance Awareness Week.
