CCL holds painting workshop to give message to control corruption

The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week continued across Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, on the third consecutive day. In this series a live painting workshop was inaugurated at CCL headquarters in Ranchi by CCL, Chairman cum Managing Director (CMD), PM Prasad in presence of Director Technical (Operations), VK Srivastava, Director Tech (P&P), Bhola Singh, CVO SK Sinha and other General Managers, HoDs and employees of the company

Twenty-five artists from across the State will unleash their creativity and spread the message of vigilance awareness on theme “Vigilance India, Prosperous India, through their paintings. The two-day long workshop will end on Friday with the felicitation of the artists by the company. The Guests were escorted to the venue by tribal dancers, who showcased the intrinsic culture of the State through their dance.  The dignitaries also paid homage to the coal workers who lost their lives in the duty. Later in the day a mobile photography contest and a musical show was also organized at CCL premises.

Speaking on the occasion PM Prasad said that events like these engage the different stakeholders in the celebration of vigilance awareness week. He congratulated the artists on their efforts and wished them luck for the creative endeavours. CVO Sinha encouraged the artists and asked them to paint in accordance to the theme of the Vigilance awareness week.

Sinha in his address said that the theme of this year is very relevant to the Country and artists too can play a very important role in this connection and play a significant role in making the Country prosperous.

A plethora of activities are being undertaken by CCL at its HQ Ranchi and across its operational areas to celebrate this occasion. The theme of this year's celebration is Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India). Quiz competition too was organized related to the vigilance awareness in which a large number of employees and others participated.

All the safety protocols related to Covid pandemic were adhered. Everybody present wore masks and followed social distancing.

GM (Vigilance), AK Singh along with other employees of the vigilance department played an important role in the success of the event.  Senior Manager (Pers), Alok Gupta played a key role in organizing the live painting workshop.
