Camps held to redress power complaints

In compliance to the directives of the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, camps are being organized to redress the problems of the power consumers. As many as 1472 camps have already been organized till now to redress the complaints mainly in regard to delay in distribution of bills, non-receipt of bills, excess bill amount, delay in meter reading, wrong reading, non-generation of online bills, non display of online payment made, electricity supply, new connections, increase in load and other problems.

A total of 23,971 complaints were received in these camps. Out of these complaints, 22,243 complaints were redressed on the spot. A process to redress the remaining complaints is underway. Camps will be organized till July 08.

Till date, a total of 264 complaints redressal camps have been organized under the jurisdiction of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company. As many as 4 thousand 677 complaints were received in these camps and 3 thousand 818 complaints were redressed on the spot.

Under the Bhopal Region of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, total 2,346 complaints were received and out of these complaints, one thousand 896 complaints were redressed on the spot. In Gwalior region, total 2,331 complaints were received and out which one thousand 922 complaints were redressed on the spot.

It is to be mentioned here that 2,088 complaints of excess billing, 345 of non-receipt of bills, 743 of wrong meter reading, 271 of new connections, 117 of load increase, 113 of electricity supply, 29 of delay in meter reading, 121 of not taking reading, 58 relating online and 696 other complaints were received.

Under the jurisdiction of Purva Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, 899 complaints redressal camps were organized till now. Total 10,194 complaints were received in these camps and 9,425 complaints were redressed on the spot out of these complaints.

In the Jabalpur region of the Purva Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, total 5,992 complaints were received in 218 camps and 5,555 complaints were on the spot redressed. In 578 camps organized in Sagar region, total 3,248 complaints were received and 3,037 complaints were redressed on the spot out of these complaints. Similarly, in Rewa region, total 915 complaints were received in 97 camps and out of these complaints, 794 complaints were redressed on the spot. In Shahdol region, 6 camps were organized and 39 complaints were received and all the complaints were redressed on the spot itself.

Under the jurisdiction of Pashchim Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, 903 camps were organized till now. As many as 9100 complaints were received and about 8,000 complaints were already redressed. Camps are being organized continuously.
