A minor boy was electrocuted while attempting to take a selfie atop a stationary Corona special train at the Paralakhemundi railway station in Gajapati district on Wednesday evening.
According to sources, the fatal incident took place when the youth climbed atop a bogey of the train and was taking a selfie. The 14-year-old youth accidently came in contact with overhead live wire and got critically injured. He was rushed to the nearest hospital where doctors declared him dead.Two of his friends who were on the ground also received minor burns, sources said. the train bogey also caught fire after the incident, fire personnel rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
A committee has been constituted by the division railway manager, to probe the incident. The train was stationed at the railway station for the last few days, sources said.
