The BJP, the BJD and the Congress have stepped up campaigning for the November 3 by-poll, holding road shows and public meetings across Tirtol Assembly constituency.
The star campaigners of three parties are asking people to cast vote in favour of their nominees by making promises of development and digging into their rivals.
The BJD arranged a road show and street meeting in Tirtol block with party’s MP Dr Rajashree Mallick, MLA Prasanta Muduli and candidate Bijaya Shankar Das. The BJD leaders accused BJP-led Union Government of neglecting Odisha repeatedly on many fronts and appealed voters to cast vote for BJD and strengthen CM Naveen Patnaik for all-round development of the State.Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan too attended an election campaigning in Sankheswar under Tirtol block.
Then he joined a roadshow to Raghunathpur and a rally at Baisimouza under Biridi block. He lambasted the Naveen Patnaik Government in State for running administration by depending on non Odia officers. He said those officers had been controlling State Government for two decades with non performance and corruption hitting their nadir. Pradhan appealed voters to cast vote in favour of BJP candidate Rajkishor Behera.
