In view of a possible influx of devotees following reopening of the Jagannath Temple here from January 3 next, the district administration is planning to provide accommodation facility at cheaper prices for devotees.
In this regard, land has been identified at Baseli Sahi for construction of a ‘Bhakta Niwas’, informed Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) Chief Administrator Krishan Kumar on Saturday.
The Bhakta Niwas would be built in nine to ten acres of land for accommodation of 3,000-4,000 devotees.
The devotees can stay by spending only Rs 100 to Rs 150 per bed.
