Agriculture Min narrowly escapes road accident

Agriculture Minister Badal had a close shave as he narrowly escaped a road accident on way to Jamtara from Ranchi late on Thursday evening. Badal said that a truck suddenly came in front of his vehicle, but the driver of his car applied sudden brakes. Although there was no severe injury to anyone present in the vehicle but the Minister’s finger got fractured and there was impact of the sudden brakes on his head.

On Friday morning, the minister reached Sadar Hospital in Jamtara for treatment. The team of doctors who examined him said that he has a fracture in one of his fingers. The head of the agriculture minister has also been hurt but the team of doctors did not clarify about the head injury whether it is serious or not.

According to reports, the Agriculture Minister was going to Jamtara from the capital Ranchi late on Thursday night. He was going to Amarpur Assembly constituency of Bihar along with Dumka and Bermo Assembly by-elections for the last 15 consecutive days.

He said that on Thursday morning at 11 am in Ranchi he presided over the loan waiver meeting of farmers.  After the meeting, the minister went to meet the family members of martyr Abhishek Sahu. 

After meeting and comforting the martyr’s kin, the Agriculture Minister left for Jamtara via Bermo in Bokaro district, during which the accident took place.
