The State capital city continued witnessing a declining trend in the Covid-19 positive cases with 87 new cases getting detected on Friday.
The total cases in Bhubaneswar rose to 29,072, which included 1,570 active cases.Of the new cases, 68 were local contacts while the remaining 19 were quarantine cases, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. Meanwhile, two more persons succumbed to the disease on the day, pushing the total toll to 164.
The local contacts included five cases each from Shailashree Vihar and Unit-6, four each from Nayapalli and Chandrasekharpur and three from Rasulgarh. The city also registered 237 recoveries on the day. The total recoveries in the city currently now stand at 27,313.
