A total of 349 persons were found positive for Covid-19 in the state on Friday while two deaths of Covid patients were also reported. A total of 242 Covid patients also recovered on the day.
According to information provided by the Health department the total number Covid cases in the state is now 61,915 out of which 56,771 persons have recovered whereas the total number of deaths of Covid patients stands at 1,011. While the total number of active Covid cases in the state is currently 3,634 the recovery rate is high at 91.69 per cent. While a total of 10,844 samples were sent for testing on Friday, the result of 14,798 samples is still awaited.
Of the persons found positive for Covid on Friday, the maximum were from Dehradun with 78 being found positive in the district. Among other districts 19 each were found positive in Almora and Chamoli, two in Bageshwar, three in Champawat, 32 in Haridwar, 51 in Nainital, 49 in Pauri, 14 in Pithoragarh, 30 in Rudraprayag, 13 in Tehri, 15 in Udham Singh Nagar and 24 in Uttarkashi.
When it comes to active cases, Dehradun district has the highest at 767 cases. Among the other districts, the number of active cases is 105 in Almora, 117 in Bageshwar, 183 in Chamoli, 95 in Champawat, 400 in Haridwar, 381 in Nainital, 439 in Pauri, 201 in Pithoragarh, 235 in Rudraprayag, 232 in Tehri, 259 in Udham Singh Nagar and 220 in Uttarkashi district.
