Bhubaneswar on Thursday registered 105 more Covid-19 positive cases, taking the capital city’s total tally to 2,607.
Out of the new cases, 59 were from quarantine centres and 46 were local contacts, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) said.
The quarantine cases included nine cases of Nayapally Nua Sahi linked with an earlier positive case; six cases of Saheed Nagar linked to an earlier case; two cases, all women, of IRC Village N-4 linked with an earlier case; three cases of Acharya Vihar Bisheshwar Basti; six of Nayapally linked with an earlier case: three of Unit-1 near market; three cases, all women, of New Forest Park area linked with an earlier case; and two cases of Aiginia Alugadi.
The local contacts included three cases of Old AG Colony; a 46-year-old man of Pokhariput Ananta Vihar; three cases of Unit-1 Basti; a 25-year-old woman of Dumduma, Raghunathnagar; a 33-year-old man and a 24-year-old man of Baramunda Jagannath Nagar; a 45-year-old man of BJB Nagar; a 50-year-old man of Rasulgarh GGP Colony; a 74-yar-old woman of BJB Nagar; a 43-year-old man of Bomikhal and two cases of Pandara,
However, as many as 129 patients recovered in the city on the day.
In Cuttack city, 51 more positive cases were detected on the day, with which the total tally surged to 888. Ten Covid warriors, including six women, are among the new cases.
Of the 51 cases, 33 were under home quarantine, seven under institutional quarantine and remaining 11 local contacts.
