Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company (CSPTC)’s newly appointed managing director Ashok Kumar and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company (CSPGC)’s Rajesh Verma took charge of office on Thursday.
Energy department, government of Chhattisgarh issued the appointment order of both officers on Wednesday. Power Companies Chairman Shailendra Shukla and MD Distribution Mohammed Abdul Haque welcomed the new officials.
Rajesh Verma and Ashok Kumar after taking charges said they will make all efforts to ensure implementation of the state government’s policy of ‘Power for All’ by achieving targets of transmission and power generation along with expansion works. The ‘Zero Power cut state’ and ‘Power Hub’ titles achieved by the state will be retained at any cost with priority.
Ashok Kumar started his career in 1979 with Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board as sub engineer and reached the post of Executive Director in 2016. Newly appointed MD, Generation, Rajesh Verma started his stint as sub engineer in 1981 with Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board and reached the post of Chief Engineer. He had also received an award for immediate rectification of fault in a turbine.
