Panchayat and rural development minister T. S. Singhdeo laid special emphasis on quality construction works during the review of departmental works on Tuesday at Jagdalpur.
There will be no compromise on quality and it should be done within the time-frame, he said. He also directed the officials for effective implementation of the government schemes.
Minister also reviewed the Narva, Garva, Ghurva aur Baari (NGGB) stating that it is dream project of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. “It is a scheme which provides strong base for rural economy. If implemented with dedication and honesty, it can become a model for the country,” he said.
He expressed satisfaction over works undertaken in Bastar district.
Minister suggested to grow Napier grass for green fodder in ‘Gauthans’, which takes three months to grow. He said till then the adequate stock of fodder has to be ensured.
Panchayat minister directed officials that all eligible families should get forest rights certificate while these families can be linked with MGNREGA for employment. Under National Rural Livelihood Mission the women self help groups has to be linked with economic activities. The construction works, Anganbadi centres and Chief Minister Road scheme sanctioned works were also reviewed.
