Euphoric with its landslide victory in Lok Sabha elections, the State BJP today organised a felicitation ceremony for its newly elected MPs and party workers from booth to district-level who played an important role in party’s victory. The felicitation ceremony was held at Chief Minister Raghubar Das’ residence, in which nine newly elected MPs from BJP, Ministers in Raghubar Das’ Cabinet and MLAs and party leaders from booth to district-level were present.
Glad with BJP’s performance in Lok Sabha election the Chief Minister asked the party leaders and cadres not to defuse their energy, but to start preparing for year-end Assembly elections. Das said, “I congratulate the party leaders and cadres for the success in Lok Sabha elections. This victory is not small as all Opposition parties in State had joined hands forming an alliance, but even the alliance could not stand before BJP workers/cadres hard work.”
Das said, “The BJP in the Lok Sabha election garnered more than 50 per cent votes and if AJSU party votes is counted than the NDA received 55 per cent votes. In comparison to NDA votes share the four parties Mahagathbandhan received only 35 per cent votes.”
The CM said that the huge vote share BJP received was due to collective effort of party workers, State leadership and the strong guidance provided by Central leadership. The Chief Minister asked the BJP cadres to prepare for Assembly elections starting with these BJP cadres have been asked to prepare a road map for elections. At booth-level core committee meeting will be held. The BJP cadres have been asked to work so that people gets benefits of Modi Government.
The Chief Minister on the occasion stated that BJP cadres in all Assembly segment will get identity cards and in this endeavor the party has completed the process of preparing identity cards for workers in 40 Assembly segments.
The BJP, which has won 12 Lok Sabha seats out of total 14 has pegged a target to win 60 to 65 Assembly seats in year-end election. The Chief Minister, on the occasion, also asked the BJP cadres to organise International Yoga Diwas at four levels. The main function will be held on June 21 in Ranchi in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest. Similar type of function will be held at district level, block level and panchayat level. The CM asked the BJP cadres to ensure maximum participation of people in the events.
State BJP president Laxman Gilua also present on the occasion said, “The reason behind BJP’s performance in Lok Sabha election was due to various programmes organised by party such as Mera Booth Sabse Majboot, Mera Parivar Bhajpa Parivar and others. The party leaders and cadres will carry forward all such functions in Assembly elections too.”
BJP organisational secretary, Dhrampal Singh speaking on the occasion asked the elected MPs to be connected with people who have voted for them and in this connection elected MPs have been asked to reach to voters as part of thanks giving.
Singh said, “The newly elected MPs should open Samadhan Kendras at all Assembly segments falling under the Lok Sabha constituency so that people’s problem are shorted out at their door step.”
