Police teams have been formed to nab the miscreants who targeted passengers of Karnataka Express -12677 train and escaped with valuables near Bhadbhada late in the night on Wednesday.
The incident took place at around 1 in the night on Wednesday when woman passengers got woke up after spotting miscreants trying to take their valuables.
SHO GRP Bhopal Hemant Shrivastava said that a gold chain and a purse carrying Rs 1000 and a mobile phone. The investigation is on and it was found that criminals of the nearby areas are not involved and gang involved in committing crimes in trains is involved.
Based on the complaint of the victim passengers police have registered a case under section 380 of the IPC and started further investigation.
The passengers of S-5 and S-13 were targeted by the miscreants who planned and committed the crime at spot where the speed becomes low and halted the train by chain pulling and the escaped train while it was moving.
At the initial stage it was told by the passengers that the miscreants were already present in the train and only 2-3 entered the train when it slowed but police have refused presence of any miscreant inside the train before the incident and claimed that all the miscreants entered after chain pulling.
The loss in the theft of the passengers was around Rs 50000.
Most of the passengers were asleep at the time of the incident. In the incident no was injured said police.
