Interdependence was yet again screened in Goa as part of the World Panorama Asia Premiere. Eleven internationally recognised filmmakers from eleven countries had joined forces to raise awareness on the effects of climate change through a unique anthology of films on the issue.
Neela Madhab Panda walked the red carpet along with his cast Divya Dutta and Manjari Fadnis for his short film Megha's Divorce which is a part of the Interdependence project. A full house audience enjoyed the film.
Speaking on the occasion, Panda said, "It's such an honour to be a part of the 50th anniversary of IFFI. Very proud that our film Interdependence has had the Asia Première here. I am hoping the film creates some sense of urgency on this serious issue.”
“Such a relevant film reiterating whichever part of the world everyone is sharing the same problem! I came out very impacted and don’t want to be a silent spectator to the environment change. I’ll start with making a difference myself. Loved being directed by Nila. Simple story with a huge message said in a lighter tone. The applause said it all!’ said Divya Dutta.
“I think Interdependence is an extremely important film which needs to be watched world over. Considering what we have been doing to our environment knowingly or unknowingly, we all need to realise what the repercussions are and what better way through the most loved medium, a film!” said Manjari Fadnis.
