Einthkhedi police has booked a person for sexually assaulting a 42-year-old woman near Red Rose School in the evening on Sunday.
The incident took place when the victim woman was waiting for bus to reach home. Then, a man, aged 30, offered her lift at Bharat Talkies. The victim agreed and went with the accused who instead of taking her to house took her to Berasia road and after reaching Eintkhedi area, assaulted her sexually.
According to Eintkhedi police, the victim is a resident of Aishbagh area and in her complaint, she stated that on Sunday evening after visiting Shakir Ali hospital, she was waiting for bus when the accused appeared at around 10:30 pm and offered to drop her home. The accused told the victim that at this time, buses stop plying towards her locality.
The victim accompanied her and during conversation with the accused, she revealed poor financial condition and he assured her to get a job.
The accused took the victim to Eintkhedi and sexually assaulted her and threatened to kill her before leaving the spot.
Later, the victim managed to reach Eintkhedi police station in midnight where she lodged the complaint.
The police have registered a case under sections 376 and 506 of the IPC against the accused and started search for the accused. She was produced in the court on Monday to have her statement registered under section 164 of CrPC.
