Meghdootam, a three-day exhibition of painter Raghuvir Ambar based on Mahakavi Kalidas's work Meghdoot, recieved a tremendous response that concluded on Monday.

The story of Meghdoot was beautifully showcased through the painting exhibition. It was the solo painting exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Devilal Patidar and Sajid Premi, senior painters of Bhopal at the Swaraj Bhavan Art Gallery.

The artist, Raghuveer Ambar gave color to the eloquent poetry of Mahakavi Kalidasa. The paintings made by Ambar on canvas reflect every sense and every mood of Kalidasa's voice.

The delineations of human figures in the pictures reflect their fine vision.

It is to be noted that as many as 40 paintings were made based on the verses of Meghdoot of painter Raghuvir Ambar.

Painter Ambar told that Mahakavi Kalidas has described the punishment given to the Yaksha in Meghdoot due to a mistake in the rule of Kubera. Yaksha sends a message through cloud to his spouse during exile.

After simple translation of Meghdoot composed in Sanskrit in Hindi, the image in the picture is engraved. Drawings made with simple watercolor.

Beautifully created art works enthralled the spectators at the gallery. Not only this, the spectators received a chance to have a close look at the scenes of legendary story.
