Tension prevailed at the MKCG Medical College Hospital here as medical students and relatives of a patient clashed on Monday night.
Reports said that one Anil Nayak of the Adaba area in Gajapati district admitted her mother to the hospital. Alleging delay in treatment of the woman, Nayak confronted some medicos, following which a heated discussion ensued between them.
The matter took a violent turn as the medical students and family members of the patient came to blows at the hospital.
Following the incident, two separate FIRs were lodged at the Baidyanathpur police station here by both the sides. Later, the medicos gheraoed the police station, demanding action against Nayak and his kin.
