Manav Adhikar seeks proper execution of RTE

The Manav Adhikar Surakhya Manch held its 87th Ghanta Yatra (cymbal beating rally) here on Monday demanding effective implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009.

The Manch, in a memorandum to the Governor, demanded that adequate measures be taken for quality education in all Government schools.

Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya alleged that quality of education is decreasing due the commercialisation of education for which the State Government is solely responsibe. He also said every year the strength of students is decreasing in Government school for which many schools are being closed. But no such problems are marked in the private schools, Gaya added.

Among others, Subhasis Sahu, Maguni Nahak, Subash Chandra Mishra, Dibya Samal, Mamta Muni, Kishore Patra and Maheswar were present.
