Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) will soon invest nearly Rs 8000 Cr. in Punjab and neighboring states, Subodh Dakwale, ED, Corporate Communications & Branding along with Sujoy Choudhury, ED, Punjab State Office for J&K, HP, Punjab and Chandigarh said here.
Addressing a news conference,they said the Company has already invested Rs 220 Cr in botting plants of Bhantina and Goindwal which will be operational soon. The capacity of the new plants would be 60 TMT per annum and would have 3 mounded LPG storage vessels of 600 MT each. The plants would be fully automated with provisions for solar lighting and rain water harvesting system.
Chaudhury said that out of total 134 Lakh active LPG connections in PSO, IndianOil alone has 67 Lac connections with more than 50% market share. To ensure safe LPG usage among users, more than 70 LPG Panchayats have been held since April this year, he added.
