nStudents of IIIT-Naya Raipur won the prestigious Dignity Cup by winning maximum number of trophies in the inter-college competition, ‘Youth Fest’ organised by Junior Chamber International (JCI), Raipur Youth Capital, on September 8.
The competition was divided into three major categories-- athletics, quiz and dance. Teams from eight different institutes of Raipur participated in the event.
The athletics team of IIIT-NR won the following prizes -1st in 400 m relay race, 2nd in 400 m race (Pranay T.G.), 3rd in 100 m race (male) (Anubhav Yadav), 4th in 100 m race (female) (Rashi Bagga) and 3rd in long jump (Pranay T.G.).
The athletic events were followed by a highly intellectual quiz competition of three rounds. The quiz team of IIIT-NR consisting of Priyansh Pandey, Ojas Ankit, Gaurav Mundada, Shyam Agarwal and Sayantan Roy, bagged the 2nd prize.
The IIIT-NR dance group comprising Shreya Masta, Sonal Singh, Pranay T.G., Vipul Sangode, Sakshi Kumari, Shwetank Malviya, Rashi Bagga, Akanksha Singh Pandaw and Soniya Seervi, won the 2nd prize in dance competition with its power packed and brilliantly synchronized dance performance.
Pranay T.G. of IIIT-NR was awarded the ‘Student of the Year’ trophy, having bagged maximum number of prizes.
The other institutes which participated in the event were Mahant College, Maharaja Agrasen International College, MATS University, Raipur Medical College, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, INIFD Raipur and Kalinga University.
