Human resources experts from the public and private sectors discussed and deliberated on wide-ranging topics, case studies, challenges and the latest trends in the HR profession at the 40th Foundation Day of National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), Utkal Chapter, held at Nalco Nagar here.
The event was observed under the chairmanship of Director (HR), Nalco B K Thakur and was attended by industry veterans, members of NIPM, former CMDs and Directors, serving Directors and General Managers from different industrial organizations, HR professionals and educational institutes.
On the occasion, former CMD, NLCIL Dr Sarat Kumar Acharya was the chief guest, Professor Emeritus of IMI, New Delhi, Dr Arun Kumar Rath and former Director (Personnel) SAIL and Director, MCL Himanshu Sekhar Pati were the guests of honour.
Honourablr secretary of NIPM, Utkal Chapter, Sanjay Kumar Mishra welcomed the HR professionals present from various corporates, statutory authorities from the Government, management consultants, faculties and students from PMIR Department of Utkal University, Madhususdan Institute of Co-operative Management and Gandhi Institute for Technology.
On this occasion, the latest issue of the quarterly journal “Personnel Focus” published by NIPM was also released. Vice-Chairman of the chapter Dr Santosh Tripathy proposed the vote of thanks. The event was compered and co-ordinated by Dr Suvendu Das.
