Chhattisgarh State Power Holding Company chairman Shailendra Shukla said on Sunday that the process to obtain new electricity connection has been further simplified to allow the poor families to get more power connections.
He stated that applications for new power connections can be applied through on-line as well.
In a statement, he said with simplification and easy process, electricity connections in state has crossed 56.13 lakh households covering both urban and rural areas. Besides this, the ‘Half Electricity Bill Scheme’ of the state government is covering around 32 lakh domestic consumers.
As per announcement of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, domestic consumers using up to 400 units of power monthly, will have to pay just half of their electricity bill, he reiterated.
He said with such facilities extended to consumers, more poor families have to come forward to get new power connections.
