The Jajpur Road Model police on Saturday foiled a dacoity bid and arrested four persons while they were planning for a robbery near the Mahatma Gandhi ITI field here.
The arrestees were identified as Kunu Das (19) of Hudi Sahi, Laxminagar, Pramod Mallik (22) of Danagadi Trijanga Colony 3, Prasant Patra of Danagadi Patra Sahi and Naba Sundhi of Moharam Sahi, Kachahudi. Acting on tipoff, a team led by ASI Subash Das raided the spot and arrested four persons on the spot, while one miscreant managed to flee from the spot, informed Jajpur Road Model PS IIC Anil Kumar Mohanty.
The police seized sharp weapons and two motorcycles from their possessions. They were forwarded to court.
