Principal Secretary Renu Gonela Pillay (IAS-1990) has been empanelled for holding posts equivalent to additional secretary in Government of India as per the list released on Wednesday.
Around 25 IAS have been enlisted.
She is presently holding responsibilities of skill development, technical education and employment departments and also additional charge of DG, Chhattisgarh Administration Academy.
Renu G Pillay is the senior most woman IAS officer of the state and will become the first woman officer from Chhattisgarh to be empanelled as additional secretary.
The IAS officers from Chhattisgarh presently on deputation with Government of India are presently holding the post of level of director rank or as joint secretary.
Former chief secretary Sunil Kumar had held the post of additional secretary, while N Baijendra Kumar an IAS officer of 1985 batch and B.V.R Subrahmanyam of 87 batch are empanelled as secretary.
