Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is observing “Vigilance Awareness Week 2019” from 28 October to 2 November, as directed by the Central Vigilance Commission, to create awareness against the menace of corruption. The theme of Vigilance Awareness Week is “Integrity-A way of life.”
CMD CCL Gopal Singh administered integrity pledge with objective to raise public awareness against the threat posed by corruption and to make citizens conscious of their right to live in a corruption free society.
In his address, Shri Singh said that every citizen should be vigilant and commit to highest standards of honesty and integrity at all times and support the fight against corruption. He further said that departmental heads should identify such employees who are dedicated, honest and transparent in their work and issue “Appreciation Letter” to them as motivation. Vigilance Department of CCL has been conducting various activities including presentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) under the guidance of CMD CCL and leadership of CVO A K Srivastava. The programme is being organised at CCL headquarters as well as Areas, hospitals and other establishment of the company. After the integrity pledge, Director(Tech/Oprns) V K Srivastava read the message of his Excellency Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu related to Vigilance Awareness Week and Director(Pers) R S Mahapatro read the message of chief of CVC. Integrity is not only the responsibility of employees and organisations but is meant for the public too. CMD CCL, Director(Tech/Oprns), Director(Pers) and other dignitaries flagged off “Vigilance Awareness Rath” with objective to motivate the citizens, as stakeholders in nation building, to collectively combat corruption at all level. There is also arrangement of e-integrity pledge online for employees as well as citizens towards integrity and ensure their commitment towards eradicating corruption.
An essay competition was also organised for employee of the company in which large number of employees including female participated.
