IN an initiative to encourage and inculcate the zeal for learning among children, the Boudh Distillery Pvt. Ltd (BDPL), the first ever large scale industry of Boudh, on the occasion of Independence Day distributed school bags among children of eight schools under Harabhanga block on Thursday as part of it’s CSR activity.
Company officials gave away the bags to around 800 children of schools including Sampoch School, Barajhuli School, Bharatapur School, Balarampur School, Harekrushnapur School, Rambhikata School,
Titrikata School and Shyamsundarpur School.
“This initiative taken by Boudh Distillery for children who are going to hold the future of the nation, the schools bags are going to encourage the little minds to come to school and learn uninterruptedly,” said Managing Director of Boudh Distillery Ritesh Sahu.
“These children are going to be the future change agents. With school bags we not only want to motivate children but also the teachers and the parents to instill the zeal of learning among children. This initiative also aims at minimizing the school dropout rate in the local community as better education can help building a better tomorrow,” he added.
It should be noted, that previously BDPL has installed RO water purifier in
schools of four villages
namely Rambikata,
Bhartapur, Sampoch and Shyamsundarpur, of Harabhanga block of Boudh ensuring purified drinking water for around 800 students.
Also the company has recently installed RO water purifier of capacity 120 liter per hour in Community Health Centre of Purnakatak to provide pure drinking water to patients and to help them fight back water borne diseases. Apart from this the BDPL is also planning take initiatives towards the development and empowerment of women in Boudh district.
