Bokaro students make a mark in International Maths Olympiad

With their exemplary performance, Bokaro students not only brought laurel for their school but also made the city proud. Anamika (class 8) and Utkarsh Kumar (class 10) of DPS Bokaro bagged State Rank 1 in International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) while Aditya Mishra (Class 6), Aditya Ratna Jha (Class 7) and Rahul Shrestha (Class 11) added to the glory by achieving third rank in the State.

The State toppers were awarded with a cheque of Rs 5,000 each along with gold medals and certificates.

The students, who secured the third rank in State, awarded with Rs 1,000 cheque each along with bronze medals and certificates.

International Mathematics Olympiad is conducted every year in two phases by Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi and the final of the same was held in Bokaro in the month of February.

Congratulating the winners the Principal, A S Gangwar said, “Success comes to those who focus on their strength and have a burning desire to achieve it. Every success is built on the ability to do better than the others and we look forward to many more such moments to celebrate.”
