The BJP would observe the birth week of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘Sava Saptah’ (service week) across the country. While Modi’s birthday is September 17, service week would be observed from September 14 to 20.
Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and party Seva Saptah Samiti national coordinator Arjun Ram Meghwal informed this at a Press conference here on Wednesday.
Meghwal said BJP MPs, MLAs, ZP presidents, other elected people’s representatives and State functionaries would be involved in various social service works during the Seva Saptah.
Blood donation camps, free health and eye checkup camps and free operation and medicine distribution camps would be organised. Various service works to provide education and living support to persons with disabilities would be organised. Cleanliness drives would also be held, said Meghwal.
Among others, Assembly Deputy Opposition Leader Bishnu Charan Sethi, BJP secretary Dr Jatin Mohanty and State party spokesperson Golak Mohapatra were present.
