The Uttar Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party will take out Vijay Sankalp Yatra in all the 403 Assembly constituencies of the state on Saturday with the resolve to ensure victory of the party in the coming Lok Sabha elections.
“Senior leaders and ministers in the state government will also participate in the Sankalp Yatra,” said campaign in-charge Vijay Bahadur Pathak in a written statement issued here on Friday.
Pathak said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would take part in the Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Gorakhpur, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya in Varanasi, BJP general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal in Ghaziabad, former Union minister Kalraj Mishra in Deoria.
He said BJP general secretary Arun Singh would also take part in the yatra along with top leaders the party in UP.
All motorcycles taking part in the Vijay Sankalp Yatra will carry party flags and stickers while the pillion riders will hold aloft the tri-colour. They will also carry sound systems playing patriotic songs.
The BJP workers have been asked to raise slogans like Bharat Mata ki jai.
“At least five motorcycles from each booth will take part in the yatra and the riders will ride at a speed of 60-70 km per hour. The route of the Vijay Sankalp Yatra has been finalised for each assembly constituency and senior leaders and functionaries have been asked to take part in the yatra,” Pathak said.
