The World Obesity Federation based at London in association with the SMO (Sociedidad Mexicana de Obesidad/ Mexican Obesity Society) organised a SCOPE school at Monterrey, Mexico on September 26.
Brahmapur-based endocrinologist Dr Sunil Kumar Kota from the Diabetes and Endocare Clinic, who was awarded with the prestigious SCOPE Scholarship, attended the meet in Mexico and presented his research paper on various aspects of obesity and its complications.
Around 50 participants from across the globe received the SCOPE school scholarship. Dr Kota is the only Indian doctor to be accorded this prestigious scholarship. Doctors from across India and people from various organisations and other quarters of society have congratulated Dr Kota for his achievement.
