With health minister T.S. Singhdeo dedicating new CT scan machine, radio diagnosis, radiography, dialysis machine and new operation theatre to the public, the Medical College Hospital in Surguja headquarters Ambikapur gets a major facelift on Sunday.
Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Amarjeet Bhagat was also present along with the Health Minister during the public dedication ceremony.
According to information from official sources the Corporate Social Responsibility fund of Rs 5 Crore of SECL Bishrampur was used for installing CT Scan Machine while OT complex in the hospital worth Rs 90.62 lakh was built with the District Mineral Fund.
The building of radio diagnosis department as built with the DMF fund and with the assistance of Singhdeo under his MLA fund.
Speaking on this occasion, Singhdeo said with installation of CT scan machine the citizens of Surguja need not require to go to Raipur or any other big city for diagnosis.
Citing that treatment on moderate charges was priority of the Congress government, Singhdeo said under Universal Health Care Scheme (UHC) efforts is on to equip all the district hospitals of state with CT scan machines.
