AJSU party hopeful of NDA victory in State

Wednesday, 22 May 2019 | PNS | Ranchi

BJP ally in State, AJSU party has predicted that NDA will make a clean sweep in Jharkhand as the party is hopeful of winning all 14 Lok Sabha seats. Earlier, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday had claimed that NDA is sure to win 13 seats in State, while on one seat (Rajmahal) there is neck and neck fight between BJP’s Hemlal Murmu and JMM Vijay Hansdak.

AJSU party central spokesperson, Deo Sharan Bhagat said, “The people of State this time have given blessing to Phool (BJP’s symbol Lotus) and Phal (AJSU party election symbol banana).  The NDA is confident of winning all 14 seats in State.”

The AJSU party leader also claimed that AJSU party is sure to win Giridih seat from where the party has fielded Chandra Prakash Choudhary a minister in Raghubar Das cabinet holding the drinking water and sanitation department. As per seat sharing agreement, the BJP is contesting 13 seats while one seat had been given to ASJU party.

The battle of Giridih is interesting as pitted against Choudhary is JMM’s Dumri MLA Jagarnath Mahto. Both Choudhary and Mahto are MLAs and belong to Kurmi caste having sizeable population in region.

The BJP and AJSU party are very much optimistic with exit polls, the opposition have ridiculed the exit polls terming it as gossip.

Attacking the Mahagathbandhan’s claim that exit polls is gossip, Bhagat said that the grand alliance parties are afraid of their defeat and to hide their defeat they have now started blaming exit polls and EVM.

The ASJU leader claimed that people have voted for Modi Government after witnessing the development works started by him. “Modi Government has given much importance to development and national security as during the tenure of Modi, India carried out surgical strike on Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) after Pulwama attack,” said Bhagat.

Bhagat claimed that its party president Sudesh Mahto will represent ASJU party in NDA dinner party called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday.
