Akhil Bhartiya Agrawal Sammelan organised Holi Milan cum Radha Krishna-Rasleela cum Matri-Pitri Samman Samaroh (Parents honour ceremony) here on Monday. The programme was inaugurated by Sammelan’s State president Basant Kumar Mittal, General Secretary Prabhakar Agrawal, State spokesperson Sanjay Sarraf, Nagar Parishad Chairperson Anupma Bhagat and Ward Commissioner Anita Agrawal. They paid floral tributes to Maharaja Agrasen and lighted the inaugural lamp.
A team of Vrindavan artists presented dance and drama based on Lord Krishna and his ‘Leela’. Short play on Krishna and Sudama’s friendship was highly praised by the audience. The town hall was full of audience from all walks of life here. Most of the people were from the Agrawal community. All along with the guests and artists enjoyed Holi of flowers. They also used Abir and continued enjoying the mood till late night.
Many personalities and special parents were honoured in the function. They were guests, artists, media persons. All were given mementos and ‘srifal and shawl’ as a token of love and gratitude.
Special honour was of the parents who have two or more than two daughters following the theme- ‘Beti Padhao-Beti Bachao’. Guests from state level officials’ team of the Sammelan said that Lohardaga Sammelan has topped in the State in organizing social programmes the most within a short period of its formation. They mainly praised and appreciated Sammelan’s District President and Youth President Chandan Goyal.
